2. Overview and legal bases
We only process personal data where necessary to provide a functional website, our content and our services, or where you have given consent. Legal bases are in particular Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent), (b) (contract and pre-contractual measures), (c) (legal obligation) and (f) (legitimate interest).
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (San Francisco, USA) and delivered through its worldwide content delivery network. When you visit, your IP address, date and time, the page requested, referrer URL, browser and operating system are automatically processed in log files. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (secure, fast and stable operation). A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Netlify; for transfers to the USA see section 7.
4. Contact form and email
When you contact us, we process your details (name, email, company, message) to handle your enquiry on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. Form submissions are received, stored and forwarded to us via the Netlify Forms service (Netlify, Inc., USA). The data is deleted once your enquiry has been fully handled, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
5. Cookies and consent
We set strictly necessary cookies on the basis of § 25(2) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. All other cookies and similar technologies (statistics, marketing) are only set with your consent under § 25(1) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via “Cookie settings” in the footer.
6. Admin portal
The login area is intended exclusively for authorised staff. For authentication and security we process credentials, session cookies and login logs (IP address, timestamp) on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
7. Transfers to third countries
If we use service providers outside the EEA (e.g. in the USA), data is only transferred on the basis of an adequacy decision (e.g. the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework) or EU standard contractual clauses under Art. 46 GDPR.
8. Retention period
We store personal data only as long as necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention periods (e.g. under the German Commercial Code and Fiscal Code).
9. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). You can withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
